Hi!
Thanks for answering!
1- Mi RAM is CORSAIR CMR16GX4M2C3600C18W. It is not in the QVL!
but I can see a LOT of Corsair modules there.
2- They are in the correct place
3- It is installed in the nearest one to the CPU
4- ok
5- nothing else is connected, except the front panel USB and audio, that I also disconnected to test it
6- CPU: checked. It is ok
7- I don't have any other DDR4 to test
8- Brand new Corsair power supply TX850M
9- checked with different mice and keyboards
Maybe a memory compatibilty issue?
Thanks a lot again for your help,
Alex
Hi Alex,
What is the specific brand/model of your memory? Is it on the QVL?
2 DIMMS.. must be installed in the slots on the right side of the CPU socket.. slots F and H (- + - +)
Which slot is the m.2 drive installed in M2P or M2Q? One drive should be installed in the top slot
The 7800x (6C / 28 Lanes) is supported starting with BIOS F1... this is probably the shipping BIOS so this is not an issue as your board will have this at minimum.
Below is subject to change based on other devices you have connected but have not disclosed.
Bench testing is the quickest way to troubleshoot and find problems. Please verify all connections. Use the manual. Sounds silly but anyone can miss a step no matter how many systems you've assembled.
Confirm the above first. Then...
Three areas to focus on - in this order:
CPU socket
Memory
Power Supply
CPU Socket:
Remove the CPU and inspect the socket for bent pins. Use a magnifying glass for this unless you have eagle eyes.
Memory:
If you have slower/other RAM you can test the system with, that would be helpful. If the RAM is not on the QVL and your CPU socket is good, once again look at your memory.
Power Supply:
A weak, old or damaged power supply can cause boot problems and/or performance issues
Barring a installation error, defect or hardware issue, memory compatibility is suspect here. Please provide your full system specs... everything you have connected... PSU (brand/model), mouse, keyboard (using PS/2, USB?).. anything else?
