Hi I have bought an AORUS Intel Z370 Gaming 7 Coffee Lake ATX Motherboard it has Killer E2500 + Intel Gigabit LAN does it matter what one I plug into.
Yes and No.
The upper port should be Intel, lower Killer. Comes down to preference. I prefer Intel over killer. You can't team them. Just a word of caution. Do not install the cFOS utility on the MB CD. If you have installed it, uninstall it.
The killer comes with a network manager application of its own. I have application control disabled, but am not using it currently. I'd rather have two NICs the same brand that could be teamed over 2 different brands.
I did a side by side comparison when I got my Z97 and the Intel performed better over the killer consistently. The only tests I did were file transfers between my PC and NAS. This is all that matter to me really. Just a matter of preference.
