In the description of the disc Aortus Z390 Master writes that the compatible memory Corsair is eg. CMK32GX4M4E4133C19R ver 4.31 - How to recognize which memory is ver. 4.31? Where to look for such signs? And what's the deal with this version at all?
Greetings,
It is indeed just that, a hardware version number. It denotes a specific version of hardware when the memory was made. It could be several things. The memory chips themselves or the manufacturing process used for the PCB. etc. Most likely its the chips though.
Where you'll see this identification. On the box (label or sticker) or on the module itself (again label or sticker). Most if not all resellers will not include this information unfortunately. As long as you are buying from a reputable vendor who moves (rotates) stock regularly, you'll get this version or later without having to worry.
