GA-X79-UD3 restart loop after sleep

Hello folks.

I got a slightly used and working GA-X79-UD3 and an i7-8930k pack from a friend and decided to build a new system for me.

After setting everything up (gtx 1060, 8gb hyperx, Thermaltake touphpower 750W) and working with it for 5 days with no problem, I was installing a game and decided to leave it and go out for a moment.

I returned after an hour and the system was in sleep mode as it should be (it didn't get into sleep mode before). Tried to wake it up and the system started to reboot every 1 second (no posting at all-blank screen)

I tried 3 different working psus, other memory modules, other grapgics cards, cleared cmos, with no result (no hdds attached or anything)...

What can I do?

This can be software of hardware related.  Do you have any peripherals besides a keyboard and mouse connected?  Is an updated BIOS available for the system?

Review the System Event Viewer for issues or related errors that may coincide with the timing of the behavior. 

Try a different version video driver.  Often this is caused by a driver that doesn't resume from S3 sleep of low power correctly. 

Need more information about your hardware and configuration for further diagnosis.

I said that the system does not post and that it has nothing attached to it...

It has latest bios installed.

Sorry based on the description (which I'm sure is clear to you) didn't realize the system is now permanently in a restart loop.

Board is only a little more than 5 yrs old. 

No onboard video so you cannot test with GPU removed..  ok

Remove one stick of RAM, leaving just 4GB (single DIMM installed)
Remove the GPU
Disconnect 24 PIN connector
Perform a CLR_CMOS again, install jumper and wait a minute
If you want to be thorough, you can take the MB battery out and test it as well. 
Remove CMOS jumper
Reinstall battery
Install GPU
Connect power and attempt POST

If you continue to get the same behavior, you can remove the board from the case and bench test.  How much time you want to spend after this is up to you.

I do have it out of its case. I'm afraid I did all those things... Could it be a chipset issue?

By chipset issue if you mean BIOS, yes possibly.  They is a small possibility it could be related to the primary chipset, anything is possible. 

Looping behavior is typically the result of (Roughly in this order)

BIOS issue
Bad or incompatible memory
Bad CPU or damaged socket
Not having the CPU fan connected to the correct header
Power issue
Failed component on the board (hidden)
Memory Controller
Bulging capacitor
Bad or failing component connected or installed)

If you are bench testing and still have this issue, It's not hopeful, but you could get lucky and figure it out.

Did you pull the CPU and check the pins to see if you have a bent one. It could even be a bad CPU too.

When the computer boots it will check for the CPU first, than memory, and than video card.

Try and pull everything off of the board CPU, memory, & video card and boot it.

One other thing to try is pull the battery and set the cmos jumper. Let it sit for a few hours and than try it. The board could be lockup. Not saying that is it.

If you you don't have another board or CPU you are kinda stuck behind a rock and hard place. Sorry
