« on: July 16, 2010, 01:29:55 pm »
I wanted upgrade my motherboard's bios with the new F5B realese, with q-flash. The upgrading process has been success, than i rebooted the pc. Now i can't boot my system, the motherboard's lights remains on and nothing appear on the screen. No bios screen, no boot, i can't do anything, just turn off the pc. I know this motherboard has a dual bios but seems not working. Any advices?

Hi,

The first thing to try is clearing CMOS. Check out this FAQ which explains hoe to do that: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2286.0.html

Remove the plug from the mains and leave the computer for ten minutes. Press the start button after unplugging  to drain down the PSU capacitors. Reset the CMOS again and then load BIOS defaults and save and boot.

It sounds to me like the BIOS update didn't go successfully after all. I woiuld say that you have bricked your motherboard. Why did you do the update anyway and what BIOS version were youn running?

If you had no problem with your motherboard then why try updating the BIOS, especially to a Beta version. Even on hte website there is a warning saying that it is a dangerous proceedure.
