H110M-S2H doesn't recognize SSD
shadowsports:
Greetings,
And the model of the SSD you are connecting is?
850? (etc)
Do you have any fan controllers, splitters, etc installed?
Do you have Fast or Ultra Fast Boot enabled? (disable if so)
Have you performed a CLR_CMOS?
amron:
Sorry, silly me, the SSD is a SanDisk model SDSSDA-120G.
no fan controllers installed.
there is Fast Boot - it's disabled.
haven't done CLR_CMOS.
hope it helps. frustrating.

One other thing is I have seen where sata cable some times will not go in all the way. If you have a sata cable with out the click on it try that. Because you are using basically a standard drive connection on the SSD.
amron:
:) Thanx dmdilks. I followed your advise and it did the trick! it's odd, because I've used the cable to connect the HDD and it was ok, but I'm not going to argue with the facts.
