X570 AORUS Master Game crashes

when booting up the system from cold when i try to launch any sort of game it does load and then the system crashes,

i am currently using a Radeon RX 580 while waiting for my 3080.

i have tried a different GPu but had the same problem, i have the latese chipset drivers, GPU drivers and the latest BIOS. the problem has seemed to gert a little better after uypdating to the F31q BIOS.

anyone having any similar issues or can shed any light on ithis?

Crashes?  Displays error (what error), restarts, what is the full behavior or result?

What does the debug LED display after the system boots? >
What does it display when the system crashes? (after game launch) >
Are any of the 4 LEDs lit after POST (VGA, CPU, BOOT, DRAM)? >
Is the system stable with other apps or programs? >
Do other apps or programs cause the system to "crash"? >

Have you reviewed the System Event Log for more detailed information or specific error? >

Is the memory on the QVL for your board? >

CPU cooling is? >

What are you outputting video to?  standard display, TV, etc? >

Nothing happens when the games crash the screen just stays frozen, it's not on all games mainly games used on origin.  Sometimes they do work though but have to restart the system once or twice to achieve this.

I have version 1.2 of the board and the problem was slightly worse on the previous bios version I think.  There is no error code or led light on the board think it just says AO.

Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master
32GB G. SKILL Trident Z RGB 3200
XFX Radeon RX 580
EVGA 1000w T2 PSU
NZXT Kraken X63 AIO
2 x Samsung 980 Pro in RAID 0

Tried some gpu benchmarking and other programs and the system is stable.

Display output is through DP

From testing and trial and error I don't think it is a hardware issue as such, I've narrowed it down to the following.

Motherboard bios
AMD Display Drivers
Origin software (as it only seems to happen when launching games through this)

All chipset drivers and everything else is upto date

Until you can consistently reproduce the behavior, you will only be guessing at the cause.

Have you reviewed the System Event Viewer?  It may contain information that relates to the problem.

Having the latest of anything...  BIOS, drivers, etc isn't always best.  I agree however, that you issues does appear to be software related.  I'm less likely to assume BIOS.

For future, its recommended that BIOS updates be performed using QFLASH, not @BIOS (Windows).

If you are using and 3rd party over clocking utilities for your vid card, or BIOS profiles with aggressive settings, this too can cause unstable behavior.

Consider trying a different GPU driver.  Newer or older.  Again, however, until you can reproduce the issue consistently, you will only be guessing as to the cause.
