Hi,

I have a Z790 GAMING X AX with Intel i9-14900K. And yes, I was one of many who got problem due to a overheated/throttling CPU.

Less than a month ago a upgraded the BIOS to F12 and start thinking.. what happened to all this Intel s***, uncertainty around performance and overclocking?

Is it safe to work with the BIOS again? I dont mean "hardcore" overcklocking, just using the auto/AI functions?

I have used the default settings in BIOS since the problem first started and havent changed it yet.

For example I keep my DDR5 memory on steady 4800 MHz even though they and the MB can handle 6400 MHz. Another interesting thing I noticed "Intel default settings" is set to Extreme in BIOS, that sounds a bit.. extreme?

Anyone with a similar setup who can give a (not to difficult) suggestion?

Thanks!
