Composite out on a Gigabyte Geforce GTS 250 possible?
« on: July 31, 2010, 09:32:25 pm »
Is it possible to achieve composite or S-video out on the Gigabyte Geforce GTS 250? Ive seen other GTS 250's with composite out, but the book doesn't say anything about it. there isn't any connector for it either, but could an adapter like the one shown on http://www.desktopreview.com/default.asp?newsID=656&review=NVIDIA+MSI+GeForce+GTS+250 work? If you don't see the adapter it is in a picture with 2 dvi adapters.

Right it is just an audio plug. How does it attach at the other end? I can see that there's a small plug but does your card have the necessary socket on the board?

On the review it says its for composite video, but its the MSI version. Mine does have a plug like that, but the book says its for the spdif. The Zotac versions has the adapter already on it, but aren't they supposed to be similar hardware.

You would need to check on the MSI card and see what socket it attaches to there. Look on the MSI website at the manual for the card.

And exactly how is that going to help the OP when he wants composite or S-video out? If he wanted vga he would have asked for it. ???
