X48-DS4 (Rev 1.3) squeaky white noise issue

My speakers are constantly ringing with a squeaky white noise whenever there is no sound coming from the speakers this noise is easily distinguishable and annoying, i have updated my audio drivers to the latest version but this is not helping. changing the system volume does not stop or decrease the volume however if i change the volume with my speakers controller this changes the volume of the noise. however i have just bought a pair of Roccat Kave headphones and there is no external volume control the remote volume control changes the system volume and this does not stop the noise! Also it does not matter which jack the speakers are plugged into i always have the ringing noise. Somebody please help me before it drives me completely mad

Hi and welcome to the forum. Well you haven't given us much information to go on apart from the noise. So only guessing but I take it you are using the onboard sound. Have you tried going into Device Manager and removing the card and then re-installing it freshly?

yeah i tried that but still no good, its weird i don't know how to describe it any better, whenever there is supposed to be silence in my speakers instead i get a faint squeaky noise, its a constant drone at one frequency. even disabling the device in playback devices does not stop it! could it be interference from something?

Yes it sounds(no pun intended) like it is picking up some extraneous noise from something else. If you unplug the speakers from the computer but leave them turned on do you still hear the noise?

just rubbish old no brander keyboard and mouse neither of them are USB

If that is so then you need to look inside the case for the problem I think. Try rerouting any cables that carry data away from cables that carry data away from any power cables. How long has this problem been occuring, since new?

unfortunately i cant tell if has recorded because i cant tell if its the playback noise or the actual noise, sorry about the thuds at the start and end that's my mouse clicks had the microphone boosted to the max

No I couldn't hear any noise at all apart from the bump at the beginning. That was with the sound turned right up too. How long has this problem been occuring, since new?
