GA-770TA-UD3: Slow(er) USB2 and LAN

Well, it's better.
Now first time when I connect to the remote drive and try to copy there, it starts with low speed, then it speeds up. Every next time it goes constantly with max speed.

Yes, to the latest beta. The windows reinstall didn't help by itself.

By the sound of things then it is a recognised fault that they are trying to address.

The Beta BIOS does say that it addresses this issue (as Dark Mantis has just said) so hopefully you will now be able to use your PC without trouble. It is worth checking the update page regularly for your motherboard ( http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3272&dl=1#bios ) as Gigabyte might release a newer version, in the next few weeks, that isn't Beta.

Sorry about asking you to re-install Windows but sometimes, just doing that can improve things, although it didn't help in your case!

The transfer speeds via USB match those that I get on my GA790XTA-UD4 so I think this must be pretty normal. I have tried to improve them but have not been able to do so, unless I remove a couple of HDD's and USB devices so that I am using less of the available bandwidth. As Dark Mantis has said, there are a lot of bits trying to talk through the SB710 chip (look at the block diagram in your manual) and it can get quite congested at times.

I bought a new graphic card (gtx460), and I inserted one more hard disk. Now the sound started to crackle (x-fi gamer pci), the videos and the games stutter. As soon as I remove the 3rd hdd, everything is ok.
I guess that the available bandwidth is more reduced. 
Then why do they make motherboards with 6 sata slots, if the SB710 can't handle 3 of them???
I can't imagine what will happen when I start to use the sata3, usb3, ieee...
The USB2 and the LAN transfer rate is the same with and without the 3rd hdd.

Hi I think I have just hit on your real problem. Try running DPC Latency checker and I will be surprised if that is not what your machine's problem is.

Actually I was expecting it to be worse than that! Try running it when you are doing all the types of things where you were having problems  and see if you start hitting any red spikes.

Now suddenly can't reproduce the crackling/stuttering issue no matter what I do. 
The latency is below the green line all the time.
Will test tomorrow.

Try keeping an eye on it and you will probably find that the crackling/stuttering will coincide with high latency spikes.

In memory specification there is 7-10-10-24, but my memory runs like this:

It is much more likely to be a badly written driver process. Latency is caused when a program tries to access the kernal in an improper manner. Instead of "following the rules" it jumps in and causes a lag that real time accesses are slowed.

What you need to do is use Device Manager to disable one device at a time and see if it disappears. DONT disable the things you need to run the computer though. eg primary hdd, graphics card, etc

2 Hitachi 1Tb HDD's and 2 Samsung 500 Gb HDD's
Lite-on SATA DVD/CD writer 
Standard Microsoft USB keyboard and mouse
using on-board Realtek audio

Not been able to duplicate your problems. Maybe it is the PCI Lan card D-Link DFE-528TX that you are using and sorry I haven't got one of these to test for you so it might be worth removing from your system just to see if it is the cause of these issues.

As absic has just tried to duplicate your problem and advised that you disable or remove the items that he doesn't have it is a good idea the only thing is you could both be using different driver versions and it could boil down to being as simple as that.
