GA-M68M-S2P BIOS Problem
«
on:

I recently purchased a motherboard GA-M68M-S2P Rev 1.0, update the BIOS of F1 to F5, after installation, the system has energy, but will not start. Black screen. Do not assume that the system protects DualBIOS errors so?

Hi,
Have you tried clearing CMOS to see if that helps?
If tou're not sure how to do this check out our FAQ here:

Yes. I clear CMOS, even remove the battery. But this did not work. Is there any key to restore BIOS from backup?

No there is no dedicated key assigned for this job. The DualBIOS is supposed to be automatic. There is however a feature that allows a BIOS image file to be written to the hard drive and then in a case like this it can be recovered from there. On page 39 of your manual it describes it.
http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-m68m-s2p_e.pdf
Backup BIOS Image to HDD
Allows the system to copy the BIOS image file to the hard drive. If the system BIOS is corrupted, it will be recovered from this image file. (Default: Disabled)
Not much help now unless you have already done it but a word to the wise for the future.

This link explains the process of loading the BIOS in case of failure (solution 3), but where the BIOS image in the Drivers CD?
