Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Rev 2 Review @ Clunk.org.uk
« on: October 18, 2010, 03:49:00 pm »
This went up a few weeks back, but a site update broke a few things, so I'm re-launching it today :D

"Just when we thought that there couldn't be any more variations on the X58 platform, along comes another, this time in the form of the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Rev 2.  Motherboard revisions are often quietly rolled out, and this one was no exception. There was no press release, and there isn't even a different SKU, yet things are a little different than they were..."

Yes it was a good review and didn't pull any punches. It confirmed what I have been saying for a while that the UD7 is a great board but the rev 1.0 is better than the rev 2.0. Just glad I've still got the original.  ;)

Thanks :)

Sadly our Rev 1 was in for repair, and also it was Chris (supershanks) that did the Rev 1, different hardware etc, so unfortunately there was nothing to do direct comparisons with, in that respect.

Great board though, I'd be happy to have one in my own system.
