Safe DDR voltage? (GA-P55A-UD3)

Hello,

I have a GA-P55a-UD3 together with an I5 760 and a dual channel memory kit:    Kingston Hyperx DDR3 2x 2GB 1333 CL7 KHX1333C7D3K2/4GX.

The store where I bought the PC components suggested that I should enable XMP profile. The ram is then automaticaly set at 7-7-7-20 (according to specs), but the voltage is also set at 1.65.
Easy Tune 6 reports DRAM voltage at 1.664 V.

Are this settings safe? Should I go for Auto by SPD with bigger latencies and lower voltage?
I don't OC the system. What settings would you use?

The recommended safe working voltage for DDR3 is 1.65V but it is well known for people to go over this when they are overclocking. Certainly 1.66V is acceptable.

 It was a shame really to get RAM with such good specs as this one (and id didn't come cheap where I live, trust me!) and not take full advantage of its performances. But it was my limited knowledge that the memory controller of the I5 powered systems is inside the processor with a critical limit of 1.65 v and this was a little over. But as long as the people that issued the warranty for the parts don't worry, I probably shouldn't also.

You can use more than 1.65V if you want, you just have to keep QPI/Vtt voltage withing 0.5v of the dram voltage.

So if you set 1.7V ram voltage, you would need to keep QPI/Vtt to at least 1.2v minimum.
