Hi there,

Not really sure why your system is freezing but I would try a different Hard drive if possible as the one you are using might be faulty.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

I can't explain why you can play a game for 3 hours without freezing unless the game isn't accessing the HDD.

Have you tried clearing CMOS since you updated BIOS? Sometimes this can help.

Yes that's what I mean but it doesn't always work properly.

If you follow the steps here : http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2286.0.html then you can be sure you have cleared BIOS properly.

If that doesn't work another thing to do is try running your RAM at 1333MHz. I know you have said that it is running OK at 1600MHz but these AM3 CPU's can be really awkward when running above 1333 Mhz.

This kind of error tends to indicate a problem with the HDD.

This could be because the HDD is failing.
The cable connector is faulty or not connected properly.

The only way to discover if the problem is with the motherboard or the Hard drive is to change one of them.

Obviously the easiest item to change would be the Hard drive.  :'(

Apart from trying that I don't know what else you can do.
