No I think it is just down to the memory either being faulty or incompatible. I would advise RMAing the whole kit of modules and get something that is known to work with this motherboard. The best plan would be to clear your CMOS, load Optimised BIOS default settings and start with new memory as I can't see you ever getting this to work.

i check each memory seperately with memtest 4.1 and the 2 modules had too many errors.these 2 modules are from the same 4 gb kit.i have 4x2 gb.
i left the 4 gb with no errors onboard.do you think that this was the reason i had these problem??i also had some bsods...i guess that the reason is the faulty memory and that i installed windows using also this memory.so i'll clear cmos first, install again windows(because i think the bad memory destroyed some files during installation...).do you suggest anything better to do???what do you mean rmaing the memory??to sell them and buy otheer kits??is it possible to continue having problems even if i change the faulty memory??

I will deal with the memory QVL list first. You can find Gigabyte's list here:

http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-p55a-ud4.pdf

and most good manufacturers of memory will also have their own QVL for each motherboard.

As far as your memory that you already have you can try nad use the two good modules and see if they run ok. If they do then there is no problem and you can just replace the faulty ones. If not you will need to replace all the memory for compatible modules.

RMA stands for Returned Material Authorisation and is given by the retailer or manufacturer when you have purchased a faulty or incompatible item.

you wrote me ''Set the Uncore at 2x your memory multiplier(plus 1 or 2) so if you have a 12x multiplier set the uncore to 24 - 26''

...the problem is that i cannot still find this setting...i can see that it is 18 but...how can i change it??

Please don't take offence but I think it is best if you return all your settings to Auto as you might get yourself in more trouble playing with things that you don't understand really. You can do this by going into the BIOS and loading Optimised BIOS Default settings and then F10 to save and exit. The problem was your faulty memory so go back to the beginning.

the problem is that even with the 4 gb lest,if i do what you told me,the memory works at 1066mhz and not an 1600 that it is rated.i checked it..even the voltage in auto is 1.5  volt and the memory needs 1.65 volts...i set it at 1.66 beceuse the previous value is 1.64....so i hav eto do everything manually..

the problem is that i cannot find how to set the uncore to 24 because the multiplier must be 12 if i want the memory to work at 1600 mhz.
could you please tell me what 'll happen if i leave the  command rate to 1 ??
