(1/2) > >>

deadpunk:
Hi,

I have created a dos bootable flashdrive  and when i press F12 to boot from usb-hdd0. It stuck at "verifying dmi pool"....( the black screen after POST).
I tried the same flashdrive on another pc and it booted perfectly into DOS.

I have upgraded my bios from F5 to F6 and still same problem. I have Legacy Mass Storage Enable.

I would like to get know what i did wrong or if the board is faulty or have bugs...

Thanks for any help!

Dark Mantis:
Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte UK Forum.

You seem to have covered most things there but what about Legacy USB devices? Have you enabled that too?
Also how big is the drive you are trying to boot from?

The drive also must be inserted before powering up.

deadpunk:
My flashdrive is a Kingston 2GB and yes for Legacy Mass Storage and of course it was inserted before powering on.
I will search for Leagacy Usd Devices, and post back in a few min.

deadpunk:
I dont find legacy usb devices in integrated peripheral.

Dark Mantis:
No it would appear that on your board there is no Legacy USB Device option but make sure the following are enabled:

USB Keyboard Function
Allows USB keyboard to be used in MS-DOS. (Default: Disabled) USB Mouse Function
Allows USB mouse to be used in MS-DOS. (Default: Disabled) USB Storage Function
Determines whether to detect USB storage devices, including USB flash drives and USB hard drives during the POST. (Default: Enabled)

If you are still having a problem I would suggest trying to clear the CMOS and then load Optimised BIOS Defaults plus any other alterations to your BIOS such as above and then save and exit.

Are you using the latest BIOS version?
