Glad you were impressed Soar and he didnt even mention the little velvet bag it comes in or the little bag to keep your extra cables in. Next build eh?
Yes, I am seriously considering Corsair for my next PSU. Professional builders and top gamers all seem to recommend them. The problem I have with them is they very rarely drop the price significantly on Corsair PSU's here. They do offer rebates often, but I've never been able to find a deal in which the price drops more than 50%.
I suppose I will keep watching and one day they they will offer a killer deal that I will not be able to resist. Until then, I choose to be happy with the Enermax 720's. I was so happy as I read Jonny Guru's review on the Enermax 720's. To be honest with you, I wasn't sure of the quality of Enermax's PSU builds. Now I am totally at peace with these units and very glad I was able to pick two of them up at such a discounted rate.
When I look at my system needs, I think I am no where near needing to upgrade to 850W or <above. I suppose I should be content with what I have. But, you must understand. I grew up in Silicon Valley. The predominant attitude in the entire atmosphere in those cities for most people is "You must get faster and you must get smaller!" This attitude permeates every part of the city. I suppose I must learn to better recognize this attitude and atmosphere and learn to resist it...esp. when I really do not need faster and smaller per se.
I sincerely believe most of us are influenced by our culture's attitudes and dispositions much more than we readily recognize and admit to.
With that said, maybe I should consider moving to one of the most remote parts of the planet, and hang out with some monkeys or something...then I'll only have banana's and lady monkey's on my mind all day instead of faster and faster computer components and such. Who knows, maybe the stress would be less and I would be more happier?
The problem is I really like building computers as a hobby. I also like all the strange people and wonderful people I meet like DM and Absic! Banana's and female monkeys sounds quite boring now that I think of it!
Have a good one DM and you sure made a great selection in purchasing and utilizing that Corsair 850!
