I am on the verge of buying a GA-MA770-UD3 and an AMD Phenom X2 or X3. I have been looking at memory and was planning on buying 4GB (2x2GB) of 1066mhz memory
But, in the memory compatibility list it says "Note: Due to AMD AM3/ AM2+ CPU limitation, memory module of DDR2 1066 or above speed is only supported by 1 dimm per channel."
Since I am planning on using an AM2+, this is relevant.. But what does it mean? Because I am using 2 x 2GB is this not a problem? Would it be an issue if I were using 4 x 1GB?? Can someone explain/clarify what this means?? Am I better off going with 800mhz instead?
