GA-G41M-ES2L reboot loop problem!
« on: December 30, 2010, 01:00:39 am »
Hey GIGABYTE Community,
I'm very happy with my motherboard but I have only one problem, a very strange one...
If I normally start my computer, it works fine but.. if it is restarted, then it goes into a reboot loop.. so let's say if I try tp restart the computer from the windows menu, it shuts down and the pc turns on with no display and just goes into a reboot loop. This is also applies with the BIOS menu because if any changes are done, it goes into a boot loop. This us a major problem for me because this problem keeps intefering my overclocking.. when changes are done, it saves and my pc goes into a reboot loop, then my BIOS thinks that my computer failed and returns to past settings.. pleade help? Thanks for reading!

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte forum.

There are a number of things that can cause this to happen and some are much harder to pin down than others.

First thing I would advise you to do would be to go to Control Panel/System Properties/Advanced System Settings/Advanced tab/Startup and Recovery/Settings and untick the box marked Automatically restart and then OK.

That will stop the system from automatically rebooting.

Next what components do you have in your system?
