That may be your problem then.

Is the hard drive formatted as FAT32?

And was it formatted on this computer?

Well I am glad that it is sorted out now and often it is just a problem getting the BIOS to recognise the USB drive especially if it was formatted on another machine.

Judging by the first screenshot I have had the same problem when I try to instal windows with more than one ram module inserted, try to instal with only one.  Also make sure you do not have any overclock, set everything to defaults.

And the second screenshot would make asume you are trying to instal windows on an array, the mesage is asking for a driver, probably a raid driver.  But this could also be conected with what I've mentioned above, so only one ram stick ;)

There is absolutely "NO" difference between x58 and p55 memory appart from the number of channels, even memory which is certified for am3 has very little differences and will work fine on other ddr3 platforms.
