About the GTX560 SOC
« on: January 28, 2011, 07:28:04 am »
Hi!

If I understood this correctly Gigabyte has to pull back these cards because of some error.
Does anybody know why and when we can expect to see them?

I'm eager to get one of these. From the respones I've seen on the swedish forums I think this is gonna be a top seller.
Breaking the 1Ghz barrier with aircooling is really nice.

Well I have just received a reply from our UK office and they don't seem to be aware of any problem with these cards. I don't know where you got your information from but maybe it would be worth checking. :-\

You can always check with GGTS to see if they can give you more info.

Just enter your email address and click on the language of choice.

Hi!

Just something I read on either Nordichardware or Sweclockers. They were supposed to recieve samples for review but didn't due to some problem. And the fact that there were no cards available at launch here in sweden which is uncommon.
Many other brands were available and had plenty in stock. It's not exactly a secret that every company tries to supply the resellers with as many cards as possible days before launch. Not having cards available at launch could in many cases mean loosing existing or potential customers, just about everybody knows that, and I am pretty sure the people at Gigabyte does too.

Btw... there is still no signs of the SOC version in any swedish stores. Sure you can order but none has any in stock.

I would agree with your thoughts on the initial stocking of a product prior to launch but as far as we have been informed there has been no problems.

I have the OC and SOC version. The factory OC is unstable in both. I have rma'd both and confirmed faulty by vendor. This is very disappointing from Gigabyte. I always buy Gigabyte for stability and support but this time I've been let down. Hope the replacements are good.

Hi

Are you saying that the hardware is alright but the factory overclock is not done correctly ?

I have heard this from other sources recently.

I have the GTX560 SOC. Everything is running nice  :)
It could just be an unfortunate card?

I suppose that it could be just that it is the same as any other overclock and therefore what works on one board will fail on the other. :-\
