GA-EP35-DS3R Raid Problems

GA-EP35-DS3R Raid Problems
« on: February 10, 2011, 07:42:57 am »
I am using a raid 1 array using the ICH9R on this board. Suddenly my array has become unstable. I have tried the Matrix drivers 8.8 and 8.9...when using those the array will sucessfully rebuild but I get Bluescreens referring to iastor.sys. If I use the newest raid driver 10.something (Which has been renamed to RST from Matrix) I am unable to boot. I have run seatools on my drives and no errors are found.
At present I have been forced to disable one of the drives in the array to stop the rebuilding process to have a stable system. This leaves me with a Raid 1 array with only 1 drive. A degraded array. Any help appreciated.

Hi

I would think that even though Seatools didn't find any problems that one of the drives is faulty. This would seem to be borne out by the fact that the other is working fine now on it's own. Obviously check/replace the data cable first.
