Yeah, I've checked everything. I don't say that lightly. I've gone through several different tutorials about managing Hibernation and ensured that all the power settings and registry values are correctly set.
When I select hibernate, the screens darken and the disk activity light gets busy -- indicating to me, that WIn7 is saving the current "state" info to the hard drive prior to shutting down. But then, it never shuts down.
So, as a test, I left my machine on at home, with it set to automatically hibernate after 2 hours, and will check tonight to see if that worked. If it did, that just means it takes it a LONG TIME to actually hibernate. If it didn't, I'm stumped.
I know that you CAN hibernate with Win7 -- because my old desktop did this and my current Tablet PC also does this.
