Hi all , watched the ( social network) movie yesterday and really enjoyed it, Shawn Fanning, the guy who started Napster is mentioned...That takes me back a bit, when it took all day to download one track.. ::)

Glad you enjoyed the film though as I am hoping to see it soon.

I've seen it, too. Worth watching if you ask me. Not OHMYGODITSGREAT but it's enjoyable and better than most movies we see in cinemas lately.

My experience starts with 56k modem. How I hated the noise that thing made when connecting to the net ;).

Back to "the social network", I think my favorite moment is the "I believe I deserve some recognition from this board(...)" part ;D.

My first modem was a 14400 if I remember correctly and as you say the squarks and whistles that thing used to make...

                       Yes it was a brilliant phrase...and your right its not out of this world movie, but I found it educational in showing how face book came about.  8)

Oh well it looks like another one to add to the collection then. I have around 1200 movies on DVD mainly and BluRay...if only I could find the time to watch some of them again.
