gtx 460

Hi,
I was just wondering if there was any hardware difference between the gigabyte gtx 460 OC, OC2 and SOC?
if so what differences are these? I know the SOC has a pretty patern on it but mind about the look of it


And will the cards run fine with a 550w PSU?
I will be using the card for sony vegas 10 h264 renders and wow mostly

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

All the cards are clocked slightly differently but to be fair it is negligable. There are other differences too like fans and graphic designs but there is not much to choose between them.

Whether they will work alrigt on a 550W PSU depends on what else you have drawing power from it and how good the quality of it is.

playing on a 19" monitor @ 1440x900 but want to get a duel monitor sorted soon

thanks alot for reading I put it into a psu calculator and it comes out alright but dosnt mention the soc versions etc :S

I would say it will probably be alright as it is a decent PSU and it is sort of borderline by the time you take into account the deterioration of the PSU. I am afraid it is a case of try it and see.
