GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3 v1.1 (Bios F4) reporting strange values
« on: April 28, 2011, 09:57:32 am »
New build, all running nicely afaik....

CPUID HWMonitor is displaying some weird data, as per pic.

Although I'm using a cheapo PSU, I'd presume that if these values were really true, the system would not actually boot?

I'm using one 4 pin P4 +12v connection, btw.

Can anyone advise on these values, as I'm not a massive tweaker, but I'm a bit worried about this.

HWMonitor version   1.1.7.0

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte forum.

It would seem to me to be an error of reporting of the figures. Are you using the latest version of CPUID hardware monitor? If you are maybe there is a conflict with something else.

I would advise you to get rid of your cheapo PSU though as if it goes down often it will take some of your not so cheapo components with it. ;)

The PSU is part of the GView case I bought here (Thailand).

Perhaps this brand is only available within the domestic market.

And yes; Running latest version.

Presume the reported values are not correct or I would not be typing this on the machine!

Yes the specs of the PSU are not that good and that is even if they can be trusted. Usually if a PSU comes bundled with a case it is best to discard it and purchase a seperate decent one. But it is your hardware at risk!

Do I need to have the Intel SMbus driver installed to get true readings?

I purposely uninstalled it together with the "useful" Gigabyte utilities (I won't have apps like that on my system! sorry Gigabyte)

Still can't understand how this setup could be running with voltages as shown !

Yes I would totally agree with you regarding the bundled utilities! I don't use them either.

The problem is only in the reporting and obviously it is not correct otherwise as you say the system wouldn't even boot. It is always best to check it against some other software in these circumstances.  It isn't very uncommon at all to find some program falsly reporting some temperture or voltage etc.
