I'm indeed a bit afraid of flashing the BIOS everywhere it says at own risk.
I don't overclock it (yet) and it about 8 C above ambient temperature. So water cooling is a bit overkill.
I am using afterburner to monitor and adjust fan speed but I can't find an option to set it lower than the 40%.
I'm afraid I'll need to flash it.
@Pepi, how did you lower the fan speed to 30%? By flashing the BIOS? Do you have a link with some information?

Yes, you will need to flash it, that is only solution, even good stuff from Gigybyte provide you that kind of BIOS only way to use it is flashing.
