Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte forum.

The first thing to do would be to make sure that you have the latest drivers and BIOS installed.

Next I would see if the power saving features in the BIOS help if they are disabled.

Also try asking GGTS for help too.

Just enter your email address and click on the language of choice.

Hi,

so my drivers & BIOS is up to date, I have ASUS P7P55D PRO, 4GB RAM, Intel i5, ASUS EAH5770 CuCore 1GB with Win7Ultimate, I just disable power-on USB in BIOS, but nothing changes... My previous mouses (1. Logitech, 2. Genius - both classic optical) works fine.
next I try mouse with my sisters 2months old Lenovo notebook, with same effect.
for now I tried this mouse at my comp in work (older Core2Duo E4500, WinXP Pro) with same effect - win found new device, loads driver and mous not work, no led lights up, just laser sensor...

when I will be home, I would try disable BIOS power saving

Well, just registered to report the exact same problem.

I read the advice above but thought I would add this is on 2 seperate mice.
Both purchased at exact same time, one for a system running Vista 64 and one running Win7 64.

What are the odds of getting two faulty mice?

Have raised a support ticket, will share on here if I get much, otherwise I'm returning to seller.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Please can you list your two setups so we can compare all the hardware involved ?

I would say it is extremely unlikely that all three mice are faulty with the same problem. There must be a common factor here somewhere.

Thanks for quick reply, I may have already solved it though  ;)

I found updated firmware, download here : http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Driver/peripherals_driver_mouse_m6900.exe
I have run this (seems to be version 15), and the mouse is now working again, though I still need to try with the second mouse.

Maybe the seller had stock from the first release of the mouse.
Odd that they both worked at first though!

Anyway, I was pleased with the mouse, like the design and feel of it.
Hopefull that all is OK now.

I had just found the same download. Glad it appears to work anyway. Let us know how you get on with your second mouse please.

2nd mouse works fine after firmware update.

Anyone else with the same problem shoudl try updating firmware before an RMA.
Very quick and easy to do, you will just need a working mouse to run the program while the M6900 is also plugged in.

I really don't know what to suggest then. I thought the firmware update would have fixed it. Have you tried with nothing else attached to the system via USB ?

so, when I last time instaled this mouse nothing else was plugged to USB nor my previous mouse (PC was completly off),when I turn it on, win starts, found new mouse, instals driver and mouse worked fine, with DPI switching/DPI LEDs working, after reboot mouse stop responding as I wrote before, when I seems that mouse not work I just plug my old Genius mouse to run firmware upgrade....with error.
I dont know where is mistake  >:(
