Dear community,
After a power outage, the ET6 software became unresponsive, thus I tried to uninstall it. The program would not uninstall/reinstall. I get the following error message: «Error: -1605. This action is only valid for products that are currently installed». When trying to download a new version, I am presented by the same Installer window, repeating the already given options.
I have tried the follwing:
1. Remove all folders/registry entries related to all Gigabyte software.
2. Repeated messages to GB support, who didn't reply in accordance with the information already given
3. Installing various monitoring utilities with speed fan controlling capabilities.
Before the power outage, the ET6 software handled fan operation nicely. Not too noisy, even when using applications putting a considerable strain on the cpu. Temperature never exceeded 61 C. Now, trying to run similar applications will set off the computer in noisy fit which appears to be on the scale of a jet engine! GB support claims a Phenom II always will behave like this...
Usually I am able to resolve problems like this, but there seems to be some reference left to the uninstaller, that I am uncapable of removing. Any ideas?
Thank you!
