I have 4 Internal hard drives and only 1 of them is IDE (slave storage drive) whenever my PC goes to sleep and I goto wake it up the IDE drive is no longer accessible, If I try to access it the HD light remains stuck lit and windows freezes for several seconds, also I cannot shutdown or reboot properly after waking from sleep due to this problem (it gets stuck during shutdown screen etc.) I have to do a hard reset or hold power button to power off.
Windows is fully updated and running service pack 1.
AHCI mode is enabled in BIOS.
I noticed the Maxtor IDE drive is listed as an SCSI device but not sure if there's any significance to that?
The IDE drive works fine before going to sleep and doesnt report any SMART errors.
Any ideas appreciated!
