Any P67A-UD5-B3 RAID10 size limitations?
« on: May 22, 2011, 01:09:23 am »
Hello all,

For my system drive I use a SSD drive. For other things I would like to set up a RAID10 array consisting of 4 drives because I would like good redundancy and sequential speeds.

Are there size limitations when it comes to my board and RAID10 I should be aware of? Is there for example a limit of the size of each individual drive? Is there a size limit of the RAID "volume" itself?

Basically I'm wondering what's the "biggest" array you can use. 6TB (4x3TB)? 4TB (4x2TB)? 2TB (4x1TB)?

Are WD RE4 drives good for this kind of setup? If not, what would you recommend?

Thanks ;)

Thanks, good to know! ;) For anyone else that would like to share their opinion, I forgot to mention that my OS is Windows7 64-bit.
