Boot Win7 with unsigned RAid driver

Only for play and find a solution :

I have found in a recycled an old IDE card with 4 * 2 IDE ports LSILogic / DELL CERC ATA100/4p ( used in a PowerEdge DELL Server )

I have found 64 bits drivers no problem , i can see disk mounted with Windows 7 64 bits installed in another normal disk

But , but , but ... if i test to install directly to the CERC / RAID disks connected i cannot

Problem is with unsigned driver ( not exist because  obsolete ) and Win7 cannot detect driver / find raid disk to the installation

With WINXP 32 bits i have not this problem ( loading with F6 functionnality can find and install normally )

Have you experience to install ?

That is not important but  for the fun

Finally i have found the problem in reality 2 problems !!

1 - Stupid but that is true this card has not the same identifier with some firmware !!

With old firmware that is :

PCI\VEN_101E&DEV_1960&SUBSYS_0511101E

With last firmware :

PCI\VEN_101E&DEV_1960&SUBSYS_05111028

Finally i have flashed with last old version ( with 0511101E ) and i have found 64 bits signed drivers

2 - Next error with WIN7 after loading the good driver is that win7 cannot find a good disk for the installation ( can make partition but not installation )

That is my fault !!

I have not my RAID virtual disk as first boot disk and i not remember that

** win7 cannot make an installation if the first disk in BIOS is a USB removeable disk !! **

Finnaly at this time WIN7 start a normal installation ...

Hope after reboot that WIN7 run fine !!

Glad to hear you have found your problem. I was going to mention about unplugging any external drives, as I had the same problem with my old RAID setup.
