Display issue Extended Desktop Windows 7 x 64

Display issue Extended Desktop Windows 7 x 64
« on: August 08, 2011, 04:56:10 am »
I had the extended desktop working when I changed the HZ of the primary monitor from 60 to 75 I started to have issues.

1. When I boot I see the mother board logo on both screens then I see the boot up strings on the Flat Panel
2. The primary monitor displays a warning message indicating Optimum 1280x1024 60 hz

GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
Using onboard video
Primary Monitor Dell 1908FP
Secondary Monitor 32" Emerson HDMI Flat Panel

Windows sees the Dell as Monitor # 1
The Intel Graphics Media sees the Emerson as Display #1

I believe this may be the cause of my problem but not sure.

Any Ideas on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

Hi

Basically from what you have said you have tried to opverdrive the monitor to a frequency it doesn't support. Put the refresh rate back to a supported rate (60Hz) and it should be fine.
