GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3: New Build. Powers up for a couple seconds, shuts down (no POST)

I tried this a number of times in the past half hour and it's a no go unfortunately. It's just never seemed like it powers up quite enough to ever reach the BIOS or POST.

In that case I think there is one more thing to try if you want to before arranging for a RMA. I will PM you with the details.

Try with just 1 stick of RAM in slot 1.

New motherboard came the other day (same model). I was told to reorder and was refunded on the original. I actually saved a little bit of money since the price came down after my initial order. Once reassembled, everything started up no problem. Probably just something very minor off on the first board or it just didn't like me. Won't hold anything against Gigabyte. It happens. This is a long shot did you install the CPU yourself?
If so did you notice if any pins on the motherboard are bent?
To find out remove your CPU carefully & check for bent pins the area will look dull & shadowy.
As this was the case with mine.

Actually Ben quite often it will only be a single or couple of bent pins and often they are very difficult to see even close up unless they are very damaged.
