Issues setting up Raid 0
« on: August 23, 2011, 04:05:48 pm »
Hi All, I am having some issues setting up a RAID 0 on a GA-H67N-USB3-B3 MOBO with 2 x 1Tb HD
Everything works fine ( I enabled XHD in the BIOS, loaded win 7 with the RAID drivers and added the 2nd HD after) until I finished with the XHD utility.
I selected manual and went into the intel software to configure RAID 0.
The process finished and everything seems OK however when I look at the drive on Win7 Disk management I see only 1 drive with 3 partitions, 100M for Win System (that's normal) a 2nd one with 986Gb active and a 3rd one with 986Gb unallocated.
When I added the 2nd Hd it wasn't partitioned or formatted.
My question is this, should I format the 2nd drive before I use XHD and configure RAID 0 or should the application take care of that?
What should I do now? I should be able to see 1x 2TB partition ...
Thanks.
