Hi there,

had a little trouble locating your board but if this is the correct one you need to download the first file from this page: http://ee.gigabyte.com/products/page/mb/ga-8i945p-g-rh/download/ for the audio chip on the motherboard.

OK

have you checked under Device Manager in Windows to see if there are any problems with the hardware?
Go to: Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Device Manager and see if there are any exclamtion marks or question marks showing.

If the Audio was working before you installed Windows7 have you made any changes to the BIOS?

Do you have the loudspeaker symbol showing in the Notification Area of the Taskbar?

If you do, Right Click on it and then click on the Playback Devices. Check that the Default Device is set correctly as sometimes this will default to HDMI Audio.

Hi

Try checking in the Control Panel on the Sound applet. Make sure Speakers is selected as the default device.
