Hi i have Ga=p55a-ud3r 1.0, i get alot of cold boot problems the pc turns on with post after about 5 trys or so, the message it say once i get into bios is the system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes of volage. am not overclocking other using the xmp on ram.
once i i set the biso back pc runs fine, ive try setting the volage for cpu  to set volage and running at auto and with xmp off all default.
Can anyone help?ive tryed taking hardware out to try find if hardware related only thing i can think its the psu.

Hi and welcome.

Obviously check the power supply and associated wiring  along with the memory. Make sure that the memory is in fact compatible with the motherboard by checking on G-Skill's website QVL. Also try running Memtest properly on each module one at a time for ten loops each. If that all comes up with no solution it is probably just that I figure Gigabyte's BIOSes are a bit "hair triggered" and throws it's toys out of the pram at a whim. If I am right there is nothing you or I can do apart from appeal to GGTS for a better BIOS.

I am not sure what you memories specs are but it should tell you on the side of the modules. It is probably 1.65v. If that is what it says you will need to set it for 1.66v which will show up as red as a warning but it is perfectly safe so go ahead.

Unless you are filling all the memory banks the "Auto" setting for QPI/Vtt should work fine.
