G1.sniper doesn't resume from suspend (Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits)

I've discovered a bug in G1.sniper motherboard. It can't resume from suspend (S3 state) using Windows 7 ultimate 64 bits (SP1).
I've identified the cause: it's due to the Renesas USB 3.0. It happens with the drivers in Gigabyte's web (2.0.30.0) and also with the latest drivers from station-drivers (2.1.19.0). Disabling the USB 3.0 in BIOS works (but you lose the 3.0 speed).

Is anyone also affected by this bug?

Hi

The USB3.0 drivers are causing problems on many motherboards and often the only solution at the moment is to disable them. Is your motherboard the first Sniper or the new Sniper2 board that has just come out ?

My motherboard is the first Sniper (socket 1366, not 1156 Sandy Bridge).

The only advice I casn give you is to make sure that all traces of the previous drivers are removed before trying to update them at all. They are really very fussy about this for some reason.

I'm also having trouble with Renesas USB 3 device. I've installed Windows 2008 R2 (64 bits) and many times the Driver is not properly loaded. I'm using BIOS F3a and updated the Renesas firmware to the latest version... Please keep me updated about news concerning this topic.

Hi and welcome.

All I can suggest for now is to make sure that you keep updating the BIOS of the motherboard as they are releasaed and the drivers too. As I mentioned before these are very fussy and the old ones must be completely removed before the new ones are installed.
