bad sound

hey guys
first time post since my gigabyte laptop is 2 days old! this morning i try connecting it to my amp like i did before and it just plays this really s*** quality sound! it sounds like the quality u get from the speakers just louder!

any help would be awesome!

Hello! I have the same laptop.
Your laptop is strongly heated? What are the performance in 3dmark? In the game brakes?
(my performance 3dmark 2006 = 3500, 3dmark2011 = P475, and it is very small for this configuration. The temperature graphics GT540M during testing was at 105 degrees Celsius)

Sound quality is generally influenced by a lot of stuff so you just can't rule out the derivative that you just have a busted speaker or something to that effect.  You practically have to weed through the different components like the bit rate of what you are playing or the compatibility of all the other components you are running.

Try playing through an external speaker or even a pair of earphones just to be sure with it.
