RevoDrive 3 X2 + GTX590 Quad-SLI compatibility

RevoDrive 3 X2 + GTX590 Quad-SLI compatibility
« on: November 04, 2011, 09:03:45 pm »
Hi all,

Basically before I buy the RevoDrive 3 X2, I need to know how its all going to work and by that I mean PCI-E lanes VS Performance.

Using 2x GTX590 in SLI running full 16x 16x with nothing else occupying other slots is fine BUT, if I add the RevoDrive 3 X2 4x PCI-E card in the bottom 8x slot, this will limit my second GTX590 from 16x into 8x therefore system will be running 16x 8x 4x as the other half of the bottom 8x slot will be 4x and will be discarded ... doesn't X58 reserve another 4x bandwidth for the SATA/USB controllers/ports? which will still be locked at 4x even though nothing will be occupy  SATA ports?

Will I loose GPU performance from this configuration?
Will the 1st GTX590 at 16x have to wait for the 8x GTX590 and will it produce any limiting or stutter?

Dual GPU card so 1st card takes full 32 lanes 16x each GPU and second card takes 16 lanes split into 8x each GPU and then there was something to do with nForce 200 chip to double bandwidth or something

Note: N200 chips, on board GPU SLI bridge and the usual card to card SLI bridge

confused.com! been told too much so if you can work anything out based on the goop Iv just said I THANK YOU! (I dont usually ask noob questions like this but I need to know)

Cheers =)
