Hi Ismael and welcome to the forum.

It would be both useful and helpful to other members if you could list the rest of your system specifications....RAM....PSU etc. Then we can all help you to diagnose and solve your system issue.

Hi mmalito-77-Ismael,  ;)

Please give a complete infos about your PSU... web link is the best.
Number of rails and amperage for each rail...  Cool

Now I have just a questions - Not a obligation to make it ... :

Have you tried a clear CMOS?
Have you overclocking your CPU or Ram?
Modify the tensions, timing, etc ?

Have you a mobile device as USB Hard Drive, USB key bootable, etc  connected in USB ports? You remove it before boot on OS system?

Have you add, change or modify software or hardware before BSOD?

Did you keep the error message  displayed on the screen?
Give us a infos about this...please.
If a error msg is speedly, take a picture.
Or press ''Pause Break'' on keyboard... maybe you have a time for note it on paper or take a picture.

So come back with more infos. Tanks for comprehension.  Wink

I did take down some info on the blue screen and it said   - Page default in nonpaged area

dont know how to clear cmos. is that by removing the watch battery on the board.  I have not done that yet, but i will try when i get home if thats what your talking about clearing cmos

I have not messed with the timing, or modified, no tweaking or overclocked anything. i just know how to put a computer together, just the basics in class. everything is stock as it comes on the board

No video card. just onboard video

when starting it up, I have not had any other portables usb drive, or usb extra anything attcahed to it. i tried to make it as simple to start up as possible

Hi malito-77,  ;)

More help about How Do I Update My BIOS?
http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2441.0.html

I do not know if you've done that ... but I invite you to do so.

I suggest you apply the following instructions (quote from Dark Mantis) ...
===================================================

Hi
...

Try clearing the CMOS before installing the GPU. follow these instructions exactly.

Remove the power cable from the mains supply and then press the power switch on the case for a few seconds just to drain any residual energy in the PSU capacitors.

Once done remove the motherboard battery for at least one hour before replacing it.

Next plug back into the mains supply and boot.

You will now need to enter the BIOS by pressing DEL and load Optimised BIOS Defaults.

Make any other changes to the BIOS settings to suit your self like disabling the floppy drive, disabling the full screen logo and making the HDD the primary boot device and then press F10 to save and exit.

Hi Ismael,

A PSU of 650w is the recommended minimum wattage and are you only using the onboard graphics or do you have a discrete graphics card?

It might be an idea to try a PSU with a wattage higher than you have got before proceeding with testing the memory.

Take care when you do so and ensure everything is connected.....safety first where electricity is concerned.

You may also want to use Memtest to test your memory:

http://www.memtest.org/

If you scroll down to Auto Installer for USB Key and install this onto a pendrive formatted to FAT 32.

Put 1 stick of RAM in slot 1

Then insert the pendrive into a USB header at the rear of the MB. Then boot up pressing F12 and select the pendrive and it will begin to test your memory.

Allow for 10 passes / cycles

Hope this helps
