Marvell 91xx Config ATA Device GA-M68MT-S2 (rev 3.1)
« on: December 27, 2011, 05:07:36 pm »
New build windows 7 64 bit. I have a yellow exclamation mark in device manager on Other Devices next to Marvell 91xx Config ATA Device. What is this? I am unable to find any drivers on the Gigabyte site to correct this. During bootup it shows a DVD attached to it.

I found the proper drivers. They are at http://drivers.windows7download.com/win7-ecs-p55h-ak-v1-0-marvell-91xx-sata-6g-controller-driver-1-0-0-1039/download-ykhje.html. Turns out they are not for the Giagabyte MOBO but are for the Highpoint Rocket 620 SATA II Controller cards that I installed. The driver says it is for Intel but the set up file also includes AMD processors.
It fixed my problems and I can now see the drives attached to the Rocket 620 SATA II controllers during boot up. They had always shown up in file manager.

They were showing that because the central processor of the card was a Marvell 9128 chip hence the Marvell 91xx prompt.  ;)
