GV-N56GOC-1GI "No Signal"

GV-N56GOC-1GI "No Signal"
« on: January 05, 2012, 09:18:27 am »
Hello,

Just built myself a new setup with:
i5 2500k
8GB RAM
Win7 64-bit Home Premium
ASUS P8Z68-V LX
GV-N56GOC-1GI

And it uses a BFG 800W power supply with 54A on the 12V rails.

The problem I have is that the card will not go above 1024x768 resolution with the Nvidia drivers installed, all I get is a "No Signal" message one the monitor. I have tried 280.26 which came with the card, the windows update driver, and the latest as of yesterday from the Nvidia website and none of them make a difference.

I have tried flashing the bios on the card using the EasyBoost software but it tries to put F61 on over the F11 already installed, and fails.

Any ideas?

Hi Celebros,  ;)

Put a F12 version. Not (Never) a F61.

Before I suggest you make clean your system:

Driver notes : before install new driver,
Please completely remove older version driver first with :
Drivers sweeper : http://phyxion.net/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper/Version-3-2-0/

and soft for  Windows Registry :

This is a brand spanking new installation of Windows. System restored and Nvidia clean installed every time I changed drivers also.

And the only reason I mention F61 is because that's the only version that the EasyBoost software detects as the upgrade.

Forgot to mention that without the drivers installed it will go to 1280x1024.

Right i did as you stated and no difference.

I'm going to try my old 8600 GT soon just to check the motherboard can even use a gfx card and if that works then this card will be RMA'd and swapped for something else.

Unless anyone has any other ideas i can try?

It boots perfectly normally, and im using the power cables that are fitted to the psu im using. It has 2 PCIE power connectors on it.

Last night i tried 2 other graphics cards that I own and they both worked perfectly, so it looks like a faulty card. i'm going to RMA it today.

lol sorry, HDMI via DVI-HDMI adapter, also tried VGA via DVI -VGA, and neither worked, but do perfectly with other cards.

The unit has been RMA'd now.
