GA-X58A-UD3R: BSOD crashes

Greetings,

My year and a half old system started crashing intermittently, and now I can hardly get it to start. The system had a mild overclock.

I downgraded to Optimized Defaults in the BIOS and reinstalled Win7 from scratch.   I also updated all drivers from the manufacturer's web site, including F8a BIOS. No joy. It looks like I have to replace some parts but I'm not sure where to start.

I got it to start long enough to run Win7 Memory Check which told me I had hardware errors while it was running, but when it restarted Win7 there was no error message.

 Right now it's warmed up and running fine, passes the Win Memory Long Check just fine (as long as I leave memory in Optimized settings). This problem is definitely related to a cold boot.  It will also go into a boot loop regardless of temp if I raise the memory settings to manufacturer's specs (no overclock).

I have attached the .dmp and sysdata files from two back-to-back BSOD's.

Hi errfoil, 

I see in http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3305#bios
the Bios F8a is a BETA Bios. Is not good install this bios. This is not official Bios.

If you do not use a 3TB disk or 3TB SSD choose a F6 Bios.
Download it.

About Flash Bios
Normaly a End Key is for Flash a Bios. When the post appears.

Use a QFlash to reflash BIOS ( Never use @BIOS, because is not good orIt is not the best ..)

But Before AND after Flash a BIOS...

I do not know if you've done that ... but I invite you to do so.

I suggest you apply the following instructions (quote from Dark Mantis) ...

Try clearing the CMOS before installing the GPU. follow these instructions exactly.

Try using QFlash to update the BIOS to the latest version and make sure that youi disable the "Keep DMI Data" on the QFlash homepage.
