Anyone know what might be the cause of a random computer restart

I have a computer with a UD3, 2011 board and this thing just restarts itself for no reason sometimes.  The problem does not seem to happen during the heaviest stresses, so It does not seem to be thermal in nature, though it certainly could be.  Anyone know how I might track down this problem? I mean it does have to happen for a reason.

What is your CPU temp? Did you buy an aftermarket CPU cooler? Did you apply your own thermal paste?

Is Windows crashing and set to automatically restart?  Check Event Viewer for BSODs.

If Windows isn't crashing, your power supply is suspect; faulty/inadequate/cheap PSUs cause spontaneous reboots.
