concerning GA-EX58-UDR3 bios problem after updating
« on: January 21, 2012, 06:55:25 pm »
I have just updated my GA-EX58 UDR3 (rev 1.6) bios using the @BIOS software. (the version i updaed is FJ)
After installing that, my pc reboot and when it comes to verifying DMI, there shows :" Detecting DRAM size . . ." and then it reboots again.
this process repeated for 3 times before it can load to window startup after the sentence verfying DMI.
When it loaded into window 7, i checked and it shows it recognizes 6GB ram, but can only use 4GB ram.

i am using window 7 (64bit) + tri-channel RAM (2GB x 3).
I dunno what is the problem, and i dont know how to reset my BIOS, or how to re-install the older version of the BIOS (cos i cant just execute the older bios version in the 64bit window....the older version exe just support 32 bit)

@BIOS is an awful idea; use Q-flash from within the BIOS.  Always reset DMI data and clear CMOS when flashing.

I would reflash it and clear DMI, CMOS settings via Q-flash.
