Next problem, the 2 memory's work apart in slot 1, together in slot 1 and 2, or slot 3 and 4, they don't work.
No screen, a long beep, a break, long beep again, etc
Somebody has ideas?

In the M.I.T. display, I have two lists,
“Advenced clock calibration” en “CPU core control”.

In the first I see all 4 cores, indicated -2%, the second I have only the choice of Core 2 and 3.
Does this mean that only 2 of the 4 cores running at this time?
Could this have something to do with the connection? I currently only a 4 pin connector on the 8 pin connector?

This prblem is solved, I have to read the user's manual better, only core 2 and 3 you can disable.

Update 30-1-2012

I have the next, minimal test configuration.

Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5
AMD Phenom II X4 960T
Kingston KHX1600C9AD3K2_4G
Simple graphic card
Floppy disk

I have 2 sets of the Kingston KHX1600C9AD3K2_4G, that means 4 memory modules. From each set the MoBo gave a wrong beep, installing it in slot 1.
That would mean from each set 1 good mudule, and 1 bad example.

With BIOS F1 and F2
The screen says with posting:
AMD Quad core processor
<CPUID 00100FA0>

I can only use 1 memorycard in Slot 1 or 3.
When I install the second memorycard in slot 2 (or 4), I get a long beep, a break, a long beep, etc.

Next, when I install BIOS F3j.
When I flash it with DOS, with posting, I see all information.
(So obviously the support list is not correct, see http://www.gigabyte.co.nl/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3258#, support list)
(With Qflash, it goes wrong, see next.)

Testing all 4 modules in slot 1 gives now no problem !!  Weird, isn't it?

When I try to install the second memory in slot 2, I get 8 beeps, a break, 1 beep, a break, 1 beep, a break, etc, and no screen.
On the net, I found this: Display Memory Read/Write Error.

I hear the screen of the monitor get a signal, but no screen.
When I remove the second memorycard, I don’t get back my screen.

When I flash the F3j bios with Qflash, I get no screen from the beginning.

I cannot open the BIOS menu anymore (push del don’t help), and have to start from the beginning (flash dualbios tp F1)

Any idea what is the problem?

I was thinking at the memory controller, but is it a good thought?
