95% cpu usage on GA-A55M-DS2. Any good drivers?
« on: March 14, 2012, 12:35:59 pm »
I finally got system to stop blue screening after putting processor from other system. Once I installed the drivers from the Gigabyte website the system started lagging. I have win7 64bit with all the latest updates. I removed my wireless adapter and that was not it. For some reason the VIA site is blocked here at work so I can't see if they have a newer driver than on posted on the Gigabyte site. Just kind of stumped and running out of time, I need to have the two computers fully running this weekend at top speed. I even enabled ahci after install through the registry tweak on the first system and all games load faster now. I already tried disabling the lan card but I don't see how that would matter since I don't use it. Thanks ahead of time.

Do you have your ram set manually for the timings and voltage and make sure they are unganged. When you instaled windows 7 and before you installed drivers did you go to windows update and download any drivers listed there. After reading your other thread i noticed you are using 2 of the same PSU. Just because they are excat doesnt mean one might not be putting out enough power.

I have tried setting ram to defaults and to factory timings. I tried bios on failsafe and optimized mode.  So far in safe mode system runs 100% faster lol. So I really think its a driver. I even hooked my 1000 watt psu up even though the cpu is only an a4 65 watt and it made no diff.  I did try windows drivers and drivers listed on the gigabyte site.  If i try the drivers from the chipset manu.. im thinking there might not be any issues since they are usually newer.
