It just goes to show that you can't take anything for granted and need to check and double check everything down to the last detail. As you said it might have been faulty material in the first place  but it would have looked fine when you first assembled it I'm sure. Anyway at least you got it sorted out with the help of some of our best members.

Ahh, great to see you found the cause of the problem!   Sorry to hear it's broken though, but at least now you know why the temps were so high.

It's great to see that you now have normal acceptable temps!!
